| Grant permission for the Waterloo Police Department to apply for a Black Hawk Gaming Association grant for the purchase of body worn cameras, chargers, etc. |

| This equipment would enhance our ability to address neighborhood concerns and increase officer/public safety. |

| The total cost of the equipment is approximately $75,000. Permission to apply for the grant for $50,000 with the remaining match from the City of Waterloo at $25,000. |

| We currently are unable to provide this service due to lack of equipment. Having body worn cameras would add to the collection of evidence and increase public safety. |

| Over the past year, we have researched multiple units and found the cameras provided by L3 Mobile Vision to be the most efficient and user friendly. |
